January 29th Public Workshop for Garden Grove Redistricting Process

Available both In-person and via Zoom

Garden Grove, Calif.- Members of the community are encouraged to participate in a public workshop to provide input on the Garden Grove City Council election district map for the 2020 Census redistricting process on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The public workshop will be available via Zoom at www.ggcity.org/redistricting-join and in-person in the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center A Room, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue.

Public Hearings

The City will also host a series of public hearings during the regular City Council meeting on Tuesdays, February 8, February 22, March 8, and March 22 at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chamber, at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center. To view the public hearing online or provide public comments, please visit www.ggcity.org/redistricting.

Spanish and Vietnamese translators will be available for the public workshop and all the public hearings. Translators for Chinese and Korean must be requested at least 72 hours in advance by contacting the City Clerk's Office at (714) 741-5040 or cityclerk@ggcity.org. Any person requiring auxiliary aids and services due to a disability, please contact the City Clerk's Office at least 72 hours prior to the meeting to arrange accommodations.

10-Year Boundaries

Garden Grove is made up of six districts, each with its own elected representative. The City adopted the voting district map and elections in 2016. Following the public workshop and public hearings, the finalized district map will help create and define the six Garden Grove City Council districts which will impact how residents elect their City Council members for the next 10 years.
