Irvine, Calif.- In support of 52nd Street: Jazz and the Photography of William Gottlieb, the Great Park Palm Court Arts Complex presents a three-part live jazz series, Jammin' in the Palm Court.
Inspired by the 1944 jazz film "Jammin' the Blues," Jammin' in the Palm Court highlights the legacies and influences of musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Ella Fitzgerald, and other brilliant jazz artists. Bring folding chairs and blankets for seating around the Palm Court; no advance registration is needed for these free events.
Great Park is located at 8000 Great Park Blvd., in Irvine. Great Park Gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays, noon–4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. For more information, visit yourgreatpark.org/arts or call 949-724-6247.
